Here comes the first of my 100 Pic Challenge List.
I picked Obsession. What I was going for in this pic was to show how some people get so worked up with the image that the media tries to display as beauty. They get so obsessed with trying to look like the supermodels that their obsession sinks to dangerous levels.
Yeah same here, it always pissed me off when girls that were thinner than me bitched about gaining weight. "OMG I can pinch an inch now!" Or "I'm getting so fat I'm 120 now!!!". I also hated when people said things to others like "lose weight and you'll attract someone." You don't have to see ribs to be beautiful... sorry for my little rant >_<

"God made me a cannibal to fix problems like you..."
I like this picture, a lot; the media displays 'beauty' as in being a size 0 blonde and blue eyes...There are many attractive heavier people. I'm heavier,[but since I'm taller[6' 1"] I don't look too overweight] and I was teased throughout my childhood by kids from school. Either they told me to stop eating McDonalds, or asked me why I'm fat...It really hurts, so I can kind of relate to this picture, although I never starved myself and never will, I've learned to be quite happy with myself the way I am. But all and all besides my rant, this is a lovely piece of art that shows what horrible things the media has done.

I have always found the supermodles. The ultra skinny walking clothes hangers to be disgusting and unnatractive as hell. I prefer a real woman not a twig. And as for beauty, I find the greatest beauty to be the woman who drew this. Course, I am a little biased. Any who, Brilliantly done beloved.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
